when is the ideal time to fill my epson 4900 cart?
is it bad to wait till its almost completely finished?
no need to prime again with a syringe?
thank you.

As per our instructions, the ink level should be kept between 1/2" from the top and bottom for best flow and function. Letting the ink level go below this level risks getting air in the ink line, which will interrupt ink flow when it reaches the damper and print head, and will require multiple cleaning cycles to correct. Before installing a refill cart into your printer, you always want to tilt it forward and make sure the exit channel is filled with ink for consistent flow, and to avoid getting air in the line.
Happy printing~ Dana
any need to prime line again with syringe in between fillings?
Once a cartridge is primed the first time, you often just need to tilt the cart exit valve down to get ink into the exit channel after refilling a cart, though if it’s easier or you have a stubborn air pocket that won’t allow ink into the channel, then you can prime with the syringe and priming tip. Whichever method you prefer, the exit channel should be filled with ink before installing/reinstalling the cart into your printer for the best ink flow.
Best regards~ Dana
