I assumed I made a mistake when I filled my carts (Epson 1430) so I bought a new set. Now, I’d like to be 100% certain I’ll put the right ink in the right cart?
The documentation I have says: (K6 ink set)
Yellow => S6
Black => MK (S1)
Light Cyan => S3
Light Magenta => S4
Cyan => S2
I’d also like to verify that shade X is actually in the bottle identified as shade x, any suggestion for this as well?
Thank you,
Yves
Sorry I made a mistake again.
Yellow => S6
Black => MK (S1)
Light Cyan => S3
Light Magenta => S5
Magenta => S4
Cyan => S2
Thanks you for that.
What about verifying if the right ink is in the right bottle?
~Yves
PS: I’m just trying to find out how I could have made such a huge mistake, On 6 ink cart I have 4 incorrect from what I can see.
Brush from each bottle and look at how dark the inks are. Shade 1 to 6 should be progressively lighter. Then you know.

Walker,
I’ve done what you suggest to check the ink bottles and it “seems” there is a mix up. But, I don’t believe that this is a good way to check this out, way to much room for inconsistency. and whatever.
I have an I1 Pro 2 so I think measurements would be a better approach, right?
Would you happen to have measurements for each ink in the K6 neutral set?
I have some Red River Premium matte paper I can use for this as I already printed a few calibration .
Here are the values I get from a print.
Not quite neutral I would say but that’s another story…
