I am converting to dye inks in my R3000. I would like to use Ink Thrift CL ink in the R3000. Conversely, I would like to use up the Ink Thrift Pro inks I bought in my 837. I would continue to use the three black Pros in the R3000. Is this ok to do? Would any damage occur to the R3000 printhead using CL ink?
The CL will not damage your heads nor would the combination of Pro and CL. But the use of the PRO blacks positions will wipe out the longevity gains of the CL. The blacks are the least fade resistant of the IT Pro inks. As long as you’re not doing longevity work and using the printer for short term graphics - you can mix the two.
