Using 3880 vivid inks on 3800

I have been switching my OEM ink setup for my 3800 to the ConeColor PRO inks as they run out and was wondering how realistic it is to continue refilling the cartridges with the ConeColor vivid ink set made for the 3880 and creating custom paper profiles with my Colormunki print calibrator, does anybody have any experience or opinions on this?

very realistic. we have lots of customers that run the Vivids in their 3800, 4800, 7800 and 9800 printers.
