Using 3800 chips in 3880 printer

I’m setting up a refurb 3880 for The soon to be released Piezo Pro inks. I have read that the 3800 color inks can be used in the 3880 with the exception of the magenta, and light magenta. Can I use the IC Chips from the 3800 in the refillable carts with PiezoPro inks? (… The entire set of IC chips, or everything but M & LM?)

To use Piezography Pro in your 3880 printer, you will need a set of 3880 refillable carts, and can use 3800 OEM chips on all refill carts except M + LM (which need to be 3880 specific VM + VLM chips)
