I will not be printing with Epson 3880 for 2 to 3 weeks. Should selenium K7 ink be removed and flush installed or plan shaking carts and power cleaning when ready to print again? During the next year there will be several periods of 2-3 weeks where the printer will not be in use.

It doesn’t need to be flushed. If possible, get someone to run a nozzle cleaning every week or keep the room humidified above 50%.

I recommend shaking the carts (gently) upon return.

It is possible to automate the weekly printing of a purge pattern. If you’re away for more than 3 weeks, it may be advisable to do this in a way that triggers an MK/PK switch once every few weeks.

Sorry Steve, can’t help you with a Mac. I’m sure I’ve read that it can be done, but I can’t tell you how.
