Switching inks - How long before re-profiling in 3880?

I had some Cone thrift dye in the 3880 for metallic paper and need to go back to pigment for a while due to quick fading of the dye from sunlight.

I have some OEM pigment carts and a few pigment Cone carts (Currently awaiting refill order.) and was wondering how long it take the inks to switch inside the printer? I would imagine since the colors are the same it might not make a whole lot of difference, but thought I’d ask before pulling out the i1 again.

One or two power flushes before re-profiling on a dye-to-pigment switch good enough?

Hi Mack~

To reinstall pigment ink in your 3880 printer, you will need to install the set of pigment ink carts, then do an Initial Fill Cycle, following the instructions here: http://www.inkjetmall.com/tech/content.php?151-Initial-Fill-Procedures-for-Epson-Pro-Model-Printers
