Storing 1430 ink carts

My printing workflow is usually long periods (2 to 3 months) of little or no printing and then printing 5 to 10 images a day for a week or two, idle for another 3 months and then printing a whole bunch of images in a week.

As a result, I have gotten in the habit of using a set of cartridges filled with PiezoFlush when preparing the printer to be idle for several months. I take out the ink carts, clean the printer, install carts w/PiezoFlush, run a couple of print jobs, and then shut it down.

My question is about the ink carts filled w/ Special Edition inks. Currently I just plug the air fill hole with the color coded tabs and put them in a ziplock bag. I’m not sure if this is the right way to store them:

Should I empty the carts and put PiezoFlush in them?
Should I fill them to the top with ink?

Any advice would be appreciated…Mark

You can store them that way. Shake them before using again.

Thanks Jon…
