Simple (and maybe dumb) question before I order inks

I just purchased a 7890 printer and will be ordering a set of 350 ml inks and refillable carts. I notice the carts hold 850 ml. i’m assming I dont need to fully fill the carts and I can use them with starting at 350 ml?

350ml of ink will work just fine in your 850ml refill carts, and fill the carts about 1/2 way.

Please let me know if you have further questions or there’s anything else I can help you with.

Thank you. I will be orderin the warm/neutral matt/glossy set. What are my choices for the back again? Also, I’m assuming I can get a printer profile and a soft proof profile for Canson Barty. Do they both get insyalled in the same place and it is easy enough to see the difference between printer profile and soft proof profile?

Hi Raphael~

We recommend Neutral shade 1 for printing on matte/rag papers, and Warm-Neutral shade 1 for glossy printing.
The main Piezography K7 curve library for the 7890/9890 can be found here: http://www.piezography.com/PiezoPress/technical-support/epson-7890-9890-installation/
and additional curves here: http://www.inkjetmall.com/tech/content.php?158-Piezography-K7-Additional-Curve-Resource
As per the additional curve resource page, I recommend using glossy curves from the 3800/3880-K7 folder for the best gloss compatibility (these curves have lower ink limits, and give the best results on glossy media).
Soft proof profiles, and instructions for using them can be found here: http://www.piezography.com/PiezoPress/blog/calibration/piezography-soft-proofing/

I hope this helps.
Best regards and happy printing~ Dana
