Shorton

My Epson Photo R3000 does not recognize the refillable cartridges that we purchased from you. At this point, I just need to know if you will refund anything or I just need to recycle them. I am not going to use them in my printer. The idea that the clips might be bent or broken tells me that these are not manufactured to the same standards as acceptable Epson cartridges. Please let me know what your policy is for a totally unsatisfied customer.

My understanding from Cathy who took your call is that the LCD panel on your printer is telling you that you have installed non-OEM carts and you merely need to acknowledge that message by clicking the YES. That will fix the issue.

No, Jon, I didn’t tell Cathy that. My printer won’t recognize the cartridge and recommends not to use refillables. I just want to know what you can do for a refund. I’m not going to use these. Thank you

Hi shorton~

After reviewing your order history, I see you purchased the set of R3000 refillable cartridges in November 2012- so the chip batteries are likely dead after a year (which is normal, and stated in several places on our website and support blog), and well beyond our warranty or return period- though, I can tell you the solution to your situation. Dead batteries will cause your printer to not be able to read the chips. You can either replace the batteries yourself, or get new chips that have fresh batteries.
You can read more about this here: http://www.inkjetmall.com/wordpress/product-use/r3000-cartridge-batteries/, and get new chips if you wish, here: http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.362672/sc.18/category.84880/.f

Please let me know if you have questions, or there’s anything else I can help you with.
Best regards~ Dana
