Shade 7 instead of GO recommended for digital negs?

Hi there. I am using a 9900 with 7 working channels only for digital negatives.

  • With this in mind, would you recommend that I take away the GO cart and put the Shade 7 in place?

  • Would using K7 improve my digital negatives considerably compared to a K6 system?

  • GO is not used anymore for digital negatives, right? I remember GO was applied once to “harden” and protect digital negatives from scratching… but I do not know whether that is still applicable.

Neither are needed if you are only doing PiezoDN. PiezoDN curves only use 6 channels at this point.

Nope. That transparency of ink is not needed.
