Refilling carts 3/4 full?

I have just enough ink to fill my 3800 cart 3/4 full. Can I prime and use the cart as I wait for ink, or do I have to wait for more ink? This is the first time I have filled this cart. Thanks

I see you posted this same question elsewhere, which I just responded to, saying you can use this cartridge even though it’s not totally filled with ink, but you must make sure to 1. prime the exit channel with ink before installing the cart into your printer and 2. visually track the ink level to avoid running the cart empty (which you always have to do with these carts due to the frequent auto chip reset).
