R3000, ink system agitation/pressurization?

Dana,

There are quite a few statements on the web stating that the R3000 has an ink system that agitates the pigment inks and uses pressurization.

I can’t see this as the R3000 ink cartridges are a gravity feed system, they don’t have the cartridge pressurization as used with the PRO3800/3880.

Do you know if the R3000 has a pigment ink agitation system, and if so, how does it work?

Thanks!

No it does not.
While it shares similar print head and dampers to the 3880 it does not share an ink pressurization system.
No Epson printer has an ink agitation system.
Some Canon models do.

I’ve also read about those “features”, and while the pressurization one may not be accurate, the cartridge may provide the agitation you’re mentioning through a passive system described by Epson here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTh_u4FPbCg
