Print tool、 How can a print be made that loses tonality?

All cartridges are filled with ink but prints with lost gradation. I don’t know why this happens. I reinstalled the print tool and restarted my mac and still the same prints.
Mac OS 14.6.1 (23G93)
Print-Tool Version 2.3.4 (1)

If this is not done, paper and ink will be wasted. Please let me know the solution.

I believe this is for the Japan version of P800 printer.

A few things I see is that you are printing with Photo Black ink on a fine art matte paper. So that needs to be corrected. You need use Photo Black ONLY for non-matte papers such as baryta, glossy, etc… You need use Matte Black ink ONLY for matte surfaced papers. Also, I am not positive that the QuadTone RIP and auto black ink mode change on Japan version printers… So you should select -Installed- for Black ink and perform Black Ink Mode at printer for MK or for PK as necessary according to your choice of paper.

Can you confirm that you followed this ink layout?

And finally, I can not see your Print Tool settings. Can you show me these settings in this area:

Kind regards,

Jon

I see!I’ll switch the ink on the printer side and also switch to matte ink in the print tool and print!

If you have inks in the wrong positions, you will need run 3-4 Power Cleans in order to clear the ink from the long ink lines, ink selector unit and print head.

The cartridge ink line is not wrong, so I manually switched to matte ink and printed. It was successful. Thank you very much.

good news!

Happy printing!
