Priming one line that is partially dry

In our 9800, we accidentally ran one cartridge dry and got air in the line. The line is about 1/2 full of air currently. We have refilled the cartridge and primed the cartridge.

Do we need to do an inital fill, or is it possible to re-prime one line with the QTR flush image without damaging the printhead/

I don’t think you’ll be able to get through the damper with that much air in your line.

Do a series of normal cleanings and see how far the air goes (sometimes it goes away really quickly as these printers have fairly good pressure). Otherwise, do a few power cleanings. Be careful (gentle) about raising and lowering levers of course.

best,
Walker

Thank you Walker - about 5 or 6 normal cleanings seemed to do it.
