I knew about not switching away from PK to MK when PK is low, so I kept the printer on PK until it reset. PK now reads almost full. But now when I try to switch back to MK, which also happens to be low, I get the message about ink too low to switch to MK! I think I still have an OEM Epson MK. What is the full procedure for clearing this? Is it: 1) (with the printer on) Pull the cartridge cover plug out; 2) remove the IJM MK cartridge and put in the OEM MK cart; 3) put the cartridge cover plug back in (do I need to close the main top cover?); 4) switch from PK to MK; 5) open and pull cartridge cover plug and switch back to IJM MK (even though it’s low); 6) put plug back in and hope that the MK resets?? Do I have it right?
Dan
You go it right. The MK will reset when you print with it.

So it sounds like we should use the same caution about switching blacks in either direction!
Thanks for the confirmation!
Dan
More so when going from MK to PK as this uses about 3x the amount of ink as going from PK to MK.
But in general, yes.
