Mixing ConeColor and Epson Inks

Hi all!

I have a question about mixing ConeColor Pro and Epson OEM inks. I know I can just slot the CCPro in after the Epson ink, but can I mix them in the same refillable cartridge?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jamie,

ConeColor inks are designed to be compatible with Epson printers. They use similar formulas, so you generally won’t run into any issues using them together.

Now, it’s important to remember that they’re not exactly the same. Mixing brands can be like creating your own recipe – there might be slight differences in performance or color output.

I have only used Cone Inks for the last 10 years, but I recently got some expired OEM ink which I’ve been using up. Some of it is in refillable carts, and I just want to know if I top those off with ConeColor Pro, will they mix together ok?

I would never put expired EPSON ink in a printer. They only recommend using it for six months from first use. They’re just not a long shelf life product. It could destabilize the ConeColor by mixing it. Use them separately.

Kind regards

Jon
