K6 inkset matt or not so matt?

I printed a K6 neutral inkset (Matt HD Black) on some glossy paper (just to see) in calibration mode. Shade 1 (HD matt black) is effectively matt but all other shades seem somewhat glossy. Is this normal?

Does this mean I could (with proper conditioning, cleaning and curves) swap a matt black cart for a Photo black cart and print on some glossy paper?

To do good gloss you need either an optimizer or to spray gloss it a 7th channel but I theory yes
