First, I’m not asking to return the paper - it’s been two months; I’ve cut a lot of it up; I have no shipping cartons. But…
In May I bought a bunch (for me) of Jon Cone Studios Type 5, my favorite paper for fine prints. A few weeks later, after cutting the 17x22 paper in half and making prints, I noticed a new surface texture. The best description I can think of is that it looks as though a comb was pulled across the surface before it dried - it has gentle parallel striations. This surface isn’t acceptable to me.

Is this an intentional change to the paper? If so then I have to find another paper. If not…

Has anyone noticed this but me?

Is it limited to a single batch? If so, are there newer batches that don’t exhibit this?
