A couple of years ago I tried to update my Imac OS from Mojave to what ever was the latest at that time. After doing so my piezography program would not work with it. My question is can I now upgrade to the latest OS without any issues?
Actually you can.
A few have successfully. But still re-install QTR and the printer afterwards. That is best practice always.
