Ink where air is supposed to be in cart for Artisan 1430

I filled my arts for the first time and two had the air vent open and ink got in there. Do I have to order two new carts? Is there a solution?

You should be ok.

Alternative is to pull the fill plug out, tape over it, and prick a hole in the tape with a needle. This is an alternative air inlet method.

I just got another email from Wells forwarded.

It’s ok if there is a bit of ink in the air inlet on these carts as long as you put the tape over the open fill hole and prick a hole in the tape. Having a little ink in the air inlet does not effect anything if you get the air through the fill hole.
