Hello. My Epson P600 turned on with error 0x80. Can you please help me to troubleshoot and fix that. Many thanks
This is a platen gap sensor error. The small wheel that turns the platen gap up and down has a sensor on it that is misaligned or broken.
You need a new platen gap sensor or you need to take the printer apart and find the ink splatter on the platen gap registration wheel.

Many thanks. I tried to locate the platen gap sensor with P600 service manual but I coud not find it. Could you please to show where the sensor is.
I don’t know how to get to the platen gap setting, the thing is. I know that first you need to click “print” and then go to the menu settings and stuff, but I don’t have them. My (or whatever it’s called) print preview environment looks far easier than what I see with other individuals. However, knowing what caused this problem helped a lot, so I appreciate your help a lot! From here on, I’ll see how to repair the plate difference!
