GO coat at 1440 or 2880 dpi?

Dana, et al,

Does it matter if the GO (Gloss Optimizer) coating is applied at 1440 or 2880 dpi?

I’ve looked at 1440 and 2880 dpi GO coats under an 10x magnifier. I can’t tell the difference.

Is there a difference? Is one better than the other for obtaining optimal results with GO?

Thanks,
John

We always print GO at 1440dpi, which is what we recommend, but you can certainly print as you feel best. 1440dpi is perfectly good for printing the GO layer, prints pretty quick and gives a nice even gloss finish to the print, but 2880dpi would be slightly tighter dots, slightly more GO and take slightly longer to print.

Happy printing~ Dana

Thanks Dana
