Gloss optimiser with an Epson R3000

Two questions here – firstly my gloss optimiser is printing out the pink hue. I imagine that this is because of the piezoflush which has still to work its way through the system. I suppose the only way to flush it out of a single position is to print LLK images??

Secondly, the gloss optimiser prints onto the borders – in other words far more than is necessary for the image. Apart from being a waste of gloss optimiser, it also means that the border is unnecessarily tinted pink while the piezoflush is being flushed from the system.
Is there any way to get the gloss optimiser to print simply over the image area and not onto the borders?

Thanks very much
