Epson SD-10 spectrometer

I have just received an SD-10. What a marvelous piece of technology.
It has a scan mode that together with the iOS/android app allows a scan of consecutive 10 sample sets and creates a history file that can be extracted as a csv file.
The patch sample specs are 30mm squares separated by 5mm borders for scan mode.
I think these are starting points and can be downsized.
Working with illustrator and photoshop to create the 10 x 25 +6 grid is a pain in the A.
Does anyone have a macro or workflow to do a custom sized ramp grid that would make this easier?
