Epson SCP800 not printing yellow

My Epson SCP800 is not printing yellow on nozzle checks. I replaced cartridge even though was nearly full. Have run head cleaning 4 times.
Printer is about three years old. I am far away from a repair person. I hate to buy a new printer if this one can be fixed by me.
All advice appreciated.
