Epson P800 - ink smudge at end of large print

I am printing 16 x 20 Red River Palo Duro Baryta Fiber 300. the first 5 prints were great. the last three have had a smudge in the center of the wide border at the end of the print. I tried head cleaning and I tried switching to thick paper. neither solved the problem. any thoughts? i prefer to limit the amount of this paper I waste…

Set your platen gap to “wider” or set the printer to “heavy paper” something like that.

Google search P800 platen gap

Walker, the google search for platen gap did not find any workable solutions. i changed the setting on the printer to thick paper and that seems to have solved it. thanks for your help.
