Epson 9900 error message "non genuine cartridge"

I just topped off a bunch of the carts in my 9900 PPE inkset and and reset them with no issues except one. The green light on the re-setter flashed green instead of staying green and I got the “Non genuine cartridge” warning and the slot shows empty. Yellow cartridge PiezoPro, epson 9900.

You may have shorted the chip. Does the printer allow you to accept the non-genuine?
