Epson 9880 noise at start up

Hi all - my 9880 is working just fine, but I’ve noticed lately on startup it sometimes makes sounds like a dove or owl. Other times it sounds air escaping by pinching a balloon end when full. Just wondering if this is a sign that something needs to be replaced or is dying? Thanks for any ideas - jen

hmm, It could be a small bit of air escaping from your pressure hoses in back. Probably fine though. These printers get cranky as they age.
