Epson 7900 CR Belt or Drive Pulley Unit Broken

Midway through making a print using roll paper I got an error message about a paper jam. Upon investigating I noticed that the end of the drive pulley belt that moves the print head had broken off from where ever it attaches. I have the service manual but cannot make any sense out of it. Any suggestions?
