I’m getting a set ink cartridge message on my Epson 7600.
Thought it was the chip. I turned off the chip sensor and Im still getting the error.
I put in the original Epson Cartridge in and the message still pops up.
Same thing when I put them in one at a time…All the lights turn off, with a “wait” message, then the black light comes on.
Could it be the sensor on the printer? Is there a way to replace it if it is?
I also just had this problem. I was mid print and replacing an LM cart in my 7600 from InkJetMall and could not figure out why it would not register with the printer after locking the carts. Chip contact was the issue. I had a similar problem with inserting a new Maintenance Box. The insertion required pushing slightly the cart or box toward the chip contact in the slot. For the 7600, i noticed my IJM cart was not snug like the Epson originals. So as i re-slid the IJM cart in, i placed pressure on the left side of the cart to make sure it had solid contact with the right side of the slot until insertion fit was snug. As soon as i closed the lock on the carts, it found the cart and finished my print job. Easy peazy.
