Epson 4900 Cone Color Inks

Dana:

This morning all six (left side) cartridges appeared blank. Previously two would need to be ejected and then returned to get the printer to recognize them. I have tried all kinds of off/on and other combinations of the printer. Wells says that if one chip is bad, it can take out the whole bank of inks. Is there a way to determine where the problem is, and then a way to fix it. I bought these inks and cartridges at least two years ago. Perhaps they have batteries. Thanks for your assistance.

Hello John; I’m a 4900 user with problems. I’ve started an Epson 4900 group. Join up! I’ve some recent postings about my problems.

Hi John~

Based on your order history, I suspect you’re dealing with dead chip batteries. You can either replace the chip batteries, or get new non-battery style chips.
Battery replacement information is available here: http://www.inkjetmall.com/wordpress/product-use/r3000-cartridge-batteries/
You can get new batteries or Non-battery chips here: http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.362672/sc.18/category.122644/.f

I hope this helps. Please let me know if yuo have further questions or there’s anything else I can help you with.
Warmly~ Dana
