Epson 3880 problem

The PK cart in my epson 3880 printer will not be read. I have looked at all of the other posts that I could find and did all of the suggestions, wedged paper, checked out all of the pins, but it still is not working. I switched it off - nothing. It had been running fine. I put in the same cart with piezo flush and it would not read either, so it seems like it is something with the PK bay. Any thoughts? Thanks

Never mind. Someone suggested to push down really hard on the chip and that worked for the PF cart. Thanks.
