I am looking for step by step instructions that explain, and/ or show, how to replace the dampers in the Epson 3880. I have read that the dampers should be replaced every year, or sooner, but I can’t find any instructions on how to do it.
This post from a few years back from Dana might be helpful.
Can the dampers on an Epson 3800 be cleaned and flushed? I have 2 sets of used dampers from 2 3800’s I have. Both have not been used for over a year. The dampers were not a problem before setting the printers aside. I had to replace the ink tubing on one of the so the dampers was accessible. In the interest of preventative maintenance and for any drying of old ink over the past year, can they just be flushed and cleaned? If so, what might be the best way to do it. I do have a bottle of Piezo Flush. Thanks!
I would try filling the entire system with Piezo Flush.
