Epson 1500W makes grinding noise

I have a real problem with me Epson 1500W.

When printing it makes a grinding noise about a minute into a print job as if a gear is slipping and the print head stays on the far left side. the power light goes off and the ink and trash buttons both flash simultaneously. There appears to be nothing blocking the print head’s path and there is no debris in the machine. I am using QTR Print Tool with piezo inks and a CISS system.

Any ideas as I am stuck as how to fix this.

hmm. Most likely something actually down in there caught. Check the print rollers on the left where the paper usually comes out right before printing.

I’ve double checked and I can’t see anything. I’ve fed card through the rollers and nothing came out. Could it be anything else?
