Epson 1430 will not recognize Cone cartridges

I have just loaded new Thrift ink cartridges in my Epson 1430 and it is not recognizing them and printer is now locked up - will not print. Will resetting cartridges free up the system?

Have to determined that you are placing these cartridges into the printer fully and in the correct slots?

Yes, that all checks out. My concern is that the firmware updated (this is a new printer and I was replacing the OEM carts). Is there a way around this? I have a resetter and could try resetting the Cone carts,

This email reply was stuck in limbo. Sorry. Firmware update can be downgraded by using WicReset utility.

Also, try resetting the cone carts. Make sure to verify everything actually works with your OEMs though!
