Epson 1430 prints too dark with HD ink

I installed the new curves (1430-HDK6) for QTR when I received the new HD black ink to replace the old K6 black ink. My prints are now much too dark. Can anyone offer any advice. I went back to using the old 1430-K6 curve which is much closer to the screen (with soft proofing for my paper - Han Phot Rag). Thank you.

Feel free to print with the original curves. They are still forwards compatible with the newer black ink actually. It won’t be much of a change.

The new curves are generally tuned better for standard workflows but by no means should you use the new curves if the old one was a closer match to whatever setup you have in-studio. it’s important to not “fix” what is working already.
