Epson 1430 InkThrift CL dark reds

I have an Epson 1430. Replaced all cartridges with the InkThrift CL system and was unhappy with the results.

The reds seem very dull and dark and the pictures have little vibrancy compared to epson ink.

I’ve done an alignment and a head cleaning. As well as tried various settings in the epson software. Nothing helps.

Is the photo on the left Epson inks, and InkThrift CL on the right?
Have you printed a nozzle check to confirm all six channels are fully printing, and in the correct order?
What paper(s) are you printing on?
Are you printing from Mac or Windows?
What operating system version?
What program and version are you printing from?
What print settings are you selecting?

InkThrift CL inks are designed to produce a very close match to Epson Claria inks, and most users are very pleased with the results using the standard Epson profiles (especially considering the $ savings), though it is not an EXACT match, and using a profile specific to InkThrift inks will provide the best possible results.
