Cleaning the pump station on 9800?

I have a Epson 9800. I have cleaned printer head and flushing box.
I didn’t see anything about cleaning the square screen on left of printer in the video tutorial. I assume this is pumping station?
Should this be done as well?

I am troubleshooting some banding issues.

The screen on the far left of the printer path is simply an over-flow screen when the printer is printing full bleed and over-inking the paper. You can ignore this, generally, in your maintenance.
