Please help. Each time I turn on my Epson 9900 the three inks slots which I have recently replaced (previously I have only used Epson’s) with Cone Color inks and cartridges do not register as there. I have to pop them out and push them back in while the printer is on in order for them to be seen by the printer. Any suggestions so I don’t wear down my contacts?

As per the cartridge instructions, it is normal for the printer to show “NO cartg” with refillable carts upon startup. To get past this, simply open and close the cartridge bay doors (you don’t need to remove/reinsert the carts).
