Chips for 3880 refill carts

Dana,
Can we use chips from EMPTY Epson Carts with your 3880 refillable carts? I ask because your video mentions the chip comes from an empty Epson cart, but the instructions don’t mention it.

Can we use a chip from a T5803 (Magenta) in a 3880 or do we need the chip from T580A (Vivid Magenta) for the Cone 3880 VM cart?

If you’re using a 3880 model printer, you must use an Epson VM chip on the refillable 3880 VM cart.
