Chip re-setter for Epson 4880

I’ve had the same chip re-setter for a number of years (8 maybe). It is not working now, I’ve never replaced batteries, should I do that or get a new re-setter? I have a 4880 and use it only every other month. Also, the re-setter I have (purchased from Inkjet Mall) is the not what is pictured for the 4880, it looks more like the one for the larger printers.

You can replace the batteries and it will work again most likely. If you take the batteries out and shuffle them (there are three) there is a good chance it will work again until you get another set of batteries.

Alternatively, yes, time for another one.

I took the lazy way out and bought a new one, thanks for your help.
