China-made V. OEM dampers?

Is advisable not to use dampers made in China or is there no difference with OEM parts? There is a huge price difference and availability. Thank you for your feedback!

We used to sell foreign-made dampers ourselves, but in early 2016 felt that it was not worth it. Too many leaks. For a long long time the third party damper manufacturing was great. It moved to a new company and went downhill.

We now suggest buying from an OEM parts dealer.
