I just replaced my carts for my r3880. The carts that were in place were Vermont Inkjet but were not in use for over 6 months and thought they may have had some sludge in them. I took the Epson chips out of my current Vermont carts and put them in the new Vermont carts. Two of the carts are not recognized MK and VM. The Epson chips are in the correct position. Could the Vermont adaptor not be working correctly.

Not sure if I got to this already but it’s important to tape over the 3 solder points if this happens so the control chip sets onto the OEM chip.
