"Cannot recognize cartridge"

Hi!

My Epson R3000 is giving me the message “Cannot recognize the following cartridge. Try installing again.” I have replaced the battery for the VM cartridge and it is still giving me the error message. Any suggestions?

Sorry for not responding sooner, we just returned to the office after being closed for holiday vacation.

If the battery has been replaced, and chip is secured flat on the plastic chip base for a good connection with the printer’s chip sensor, but printer still gives an error with this chip, it may be the chip it’s self has shorted out and needs to be replaced.
