Can I substitute InkThrift CL Black for #1 black in K7?

What’s the feasibility of substituting the InkThrift CL Black for the #1 black in Piezography K7 in order to get a higher Dmax on matte paper? This would be for prints intended for portfolio use only, not for prints put on display.

Hi John~

I suppose you could use CL black with Piezography if you wish, but it won’t give you a huge jump in dMax. Piezography Neutral shade 1 (matte black) dMax on Epson Enhanced Paper is about 1.53, and InkThrift CL is about 1.58.
