Can Cleaning cartridges be reused with ink?

Is there a way to clean out the cleaning cartridges and reuse them with ink or are they only good for cleaning at this point?
If they cannot be used what is the best way to save them?

I believe that that they can be rinsed out with distilled water, but I would have to ask why? If you have carts dedicated for cleaning with whatever you use to clean or flush (piezoflush comes to mind :grinning:), why not just let them stay that way? I have one set that I bought specifically for that reason so I don’t need to spend time & money to empty and clean out a set just to do it over again when needed. In the long run, it’s buy once and reuse until worn out.
