9880 power clean stopped

Hi Dana,
I just installed new dampers on my 9880 with PiezPro inkset. Following instructions on LCD readout during Power Clean step and came to a halt at “lower the left ink lever and close the cover” I can not “close the cover” because I’m using long sized ink carts which do not allow the ink bay doors to be closed. How can I proceed? Is there a way to defeat the ink bay door sensors so it thinks the covers are closed ??

Hi Ron~

The 9880 printer has locking levers to lock the carts in place, but do not have door sensors, so you can operate the printer with the doors removed. When it tells you to lower the locking lever and close the door- just lower the lever and it will continue the power clean until finished.
