4880 suddenly not recognized on Windows 10 pc

Every now and then, my 4880 (I use Pro inks) becomes unrecognizable to my Windows 10 PC. I’ve tried the Windows 10 trouble shoot hacks, reinstalling 4880 software (albeit without removing old). Several months ago it just started working again randomly. And now the printer isnt communicating with the PC.

I’d be surprised if it’s the printer jack/connection, but to eliminate that guess, can I use an ethernet cable? I see that jack on the printer.

Any other tips?
