My Piezo Carbon 3880 printhead just got caught somehow while printing on a sheetfed letter-size plain paper and the fabric-like tan-colored ribbon snapped.
This was not on my awfulness BINGO card. What to do?

Ouch!!! Contact Arditos if you are in USA. If not you need a similar EPSON repair center to get the parts.
I am in Westchester, so just north of NYC. I reached out to that company, said you suggested them, awaiting a call back.
Thank you for the prompt post. It’s not good to get an “Ouch!” from someone who knows these machines and every flag they can throw. The torn band is a symptom of something, so I’m concerned about what that could be. The paper was running flat, not jammed.
This printer has a been great, we don’t run a huge number of prints but have a segment of our business that is selling what we call Carbon Prints. So we need it to work, and as perfectly as it has before today.
